Eldridge Finance & Accounting Services LLC (EFAS) was founded in March 2020 by April Eldridge. Serving the greater Cincinnati and Dayton metropolitan areas, EFAS was established for the purpose of assisting businesses in laying a strong foundation for financial accuracy, forecasting, reporting and analysis. The company provides a range of services from bookkeeping to outsourced controller and CFO level tasks to ad hoc projects and administrative and human resource functions. 

Utilizing over 20 years of practical accounting and finance experience within both the public and private accounting sectors, April desired a change from the corporate environment to in order to focus her time and knowledge on assisting business owners in reaching their next level of business. A competitive individual who enjoys solving problems and focusing on the details of financial accounting, April has experienced unique business situations in each of her prior places of employment. These include fraud detection and resolution experiences, multiple software system implementations, and the establishment of the accounting department of an organization to include processes, personnel and financial records. She has developed programs to drive financial accountability throughout the organization and to increase company-wide reporting. April has been responsible for functions that include corporate financial management, cash management and treasury, budgeting and forecasting, and human resource management. 


April spent the early years of her career in public accounting as an auditor with Ernst & Young (New York City and Washington, D.C.) focusing in the real estate industry and ensuring compliance with GAAP. From there, she ventured into private industry and served as the controller for a private residential builder in Fredericksburg, Virginia for 11 years. During this time April managed the financials for multiple entities involved with home building, rental property, and land development. She was intimately involved in the strategic planning initiatives of the organization, conducted financial training and presented the monthly financial package to all employees. She was a leader in working with the company’s employees and trade partners in implementing LEAN initiatives and in implementing the purchasing, estimating and sales components of the company’s comprehensive software package. 


Moving to Ohio in 2013, April turned her attention to the commercial side of the construction industry and served as the Finance Manager for a growing regional general contractor. Initially, she in-sourced the corporate accounting functions of cash management, financial statement preparation, tax filings budgeting and forecasting before focusing on the development and implementation of processes to drive the financial awareness and accountability throughout the organization. April also guided the company through a significant software conversion process and assisted in the establishment of both a new business region and a new business division. 


Subsequent to this role, April stepped into the manufacturing industry and, most recently, served in the capacity of Vice President of Finance. Within the manufacturing environments, she worked with individuals located internationally on GAAP compliance, detected fraud and reconstructed lost historical financial records and, most significantly, led a financial turnaround by closely monitoring cash flows and repairing damaged relationships with suppliers and customers alike. 


April obtained her CPA license through the State of New York in 2001. She earned a Masters in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics with a minor in International Business from Miami University in Ohio. She is a graduate of WE Succeed - Class of 2016 - in Cincinnati, OH; Leadership Fredericksburg - Class of 2013 - in Fredericksburg, VA; and Rapport Leadership International’s Leadership I & II programs in Las Vegas, NV. During college, she spent her junior year studying abroad in Luxembourg at the John E. Dolibois European Center while interning in the marketing department of the European Formula Driver’s Administration S.A. in Luxembourg City. 


A woman of Christian faith, April is mom to three children and wife to a U.S. Air Force retired Lt. Col. She is an active member in her community and has served as a soccer coach, Habitat for Humanity volunteer, Girl Scout Brownie Troop leader as well as a Junior Achievement consultant. Currently, April volunteers as the director of the Awana children’s program at Fairfield West Baptist Church in Fairfield, OH.
